Five Master Shots

Contrast- For our contrast shots Ellie is focusing intensely on studying opposed to what I am doing, going through disorganized papers unable to study. The contrast here highlights the difference between a good student versus a bad one.
Parallelism- For our parallelism shots Ellie and I are walking from different directions and the camera cuts back and forth between shots of us walking until eventually we meet up together. Doing so builds suspense and can emphasize the distance between us as we walk.
Symbolism- For our symbolism shots we approach a tree and zoom in and when the camera is zoomed out the stack of paper is revealed. This portrays symbolism because trees make paper and this can be used as a conservation effort.
Simultaneity- For our simultaneity shots two events were happening at once. Ellie was casually strolling by as in another room a fight was taking place between Kaelyn and I.
Leit Motif- For our leit motif shots every time Ellie popped out as a jumpscare creepy music played. By doing so whenever the creepy music began to play the audience can infer that Ellie was going to pop out again.

Great job with the acting and editing! I found the explanation you provided for your symbolism edit to be very interesting as I had not previously thought about the transition from trees to paper as a conservation effort.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the shots!! The shots were very creative and unique. The explanation showed your perspective in creating the shots especially in the symbolism example between the tree and the sheets of paper.
ReplyDeleteI really liked your shots, they were funny at the end when Ellie kept jumping in the camera, I also liked your shots because they were from your perspective which made it much more creative. I liked your shots because of the parallelism shot when Ellie and Whitney were walking into the shot.
ReplyDeleteThe way your project came together in the end with all of the shots put together was really cool. I thought your use of parallelism and symbolism in your final edit was really creative and original with you and Ellie. Furthermore, I liked the length and style of all of your shots when they were put into the final edit. Every clip was the perfect length, and all of the camera angles and positions were great!!
